I Hate Duke

Yet another reason to hate Duke.

Are you kidding me? And has anyone checked on Jude? Has his head exploded? Did he just go outside and try and find someone wearing a Duke shirt and just beat the crap out of the them? Because he really should.

In order to get his blood pressure even higher, here is "classy" Coach K's postgame comment:

"I heard the television guys were trying to make something out of it, but that's what television guys do I guess."

If you see a guy in a Clemson shirt beating the crap out of me tommorrow for no reason, it's probably becaue I posted that link.

This reminds me of a game where Tech got the same clock treatment at OU (TWICE in the same game). Maybe you should get those calls at home.

Anyway, if you look at the clock - the ball completely clears the net w/ 4.6 on the clock. So even if you subtract "2 seconds" there would have still been over 2 1/2 seconds left.

The reason people hate Duke is the same reason people hate the Yankees and Cowboys - success. The only difference is Duke doesn't pay their athletes as much. ...well at least not as much as Michigan.

Duke would drive down the court and hit the game winning basket with 0.1 seconds. Had the clock run properly on this play, Duke would not have scored.

And, no, we hate Duke because the ACC refs do screw the rest of the conference, Coach K is obnoxious ass, and their fans are of the classic "dish-it-but-can't-take-it" variety. Duke is evil.

Don't know if I take it quite as far as Baker, but what can I say... in principle I agree with him.

By the way I am alive and relatively well. I slept all of 2 hours last night though, just tossiang and turning with visions of BLue Devils and Zebras doing inapprporiate things!

who cares why people hate Duke. They only won that game b/c the home clock operator left time on the clock for Duke. If the clock operator was accurate duke would have lost. How the ref's don't catch that is amazing

So now duke would have LOST? As I remember it, the game was tied which would have warranted an overtime.

Also, Duke would have had the opportunity to set up a different play, had the clock read somewhere around 2.6.

given the fact that dook (note the proper spelling) had made all of zero baskets in the last 6:30 until the layup with 0.1 seconds left and clemson having all the momentum (thanks to mcroberts assist to hamilton), i would have put my money on clemson in the overtime period.

alas, thanks to another favorable timing error (check out the Va Tech game last year for something similar) dook wins again. oh well, the more they win, the more sweet it will be on Feb. 7.
