Football Weekend

I just realized that since Oklahoma and Texas both lost yesterday, their game next weekend will not be for first place in the Big XII South for about the first time in modern history. Even more disturbing is this fact:

The winner of Texas A&M and Oklahoma St will be in sole possession of first place at the end of next week. Aggies, you may commence trash talking.

Oh, and LSU is still really good. I was ticked about only beating the hated Greenies by a mere 25 points, but then half of the top ten lost. And beating up on the weak sister across the state didn't seem so bad. At least we didn't lose to Colorado, a team whose fan base is more concerned with making bongs out of common household items than winning football games.

I've been an Aggie long enough to know to reserve my trash talking. They have an amazing ability to disappoint.

I concur with Katie, Brennan dissents.

Well, at least if Fran gets fired, he has his vast newsletter writing fortune to fall back on...

The newsletter thing is both funny and remarkably stupid. If I have the facts right, he only sold the injury report to 12 boosters. And one of those lists ended up in the hands of the media, which leads me to several conclusions:

ONE. Fran is really, really dumb.

TWO. Someone made a killing in Vegas having inside information like that.

THREE. Fran has lost support of the boosters. If 12 guys can't keep a secret for you... they are throwing you under the bus.

Sad, sad weekend.... And apparently we can only play KSU on years that we suck. They are 4-2 against us since the B12 started. Why couldn't we have played them in 2004 and 2005?

I resent that comment about Colorado...

I know someone who made a bong out of an apple one time. It was pretty impressive...
